Day 5: Thursday
The final day of construction took place on Thursday. Everyone had to finish putting together their buildings so that people could see and use them. We ran into many problems when putting up ours, such as cracks in the wood and some pieces not lining up. I had the job of fixing up the benches by sanding them and taking out staples so that they would be more comfortable. I also held pieces as we put benches on both sides of the walls. The walls became incredibly heavy and everyone had to work together to move all the walls. We barely got done in time and finished literally at the last minute.
After the break, many people came over to see the constructions and junior projects. When I wasn't cleaning up Vezino's classroom I was outside, seeing the other projects and seeing what people thought of ours. We were one of the most popular. The Vezibo houses many people and the shade combined with the shape made it a nice place to hang out and sit. Everyone loved the constructions and were disappointed we had to take them apart for lumber. We didn't have to take apart ours because Joshua took the Vezibo home. Overall, the project was a success and helped bring the community together.
